Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business has again ranked among the world’s best institutions in the 2016 rankings of pre-experience master’s programs in finance, published today by Financial Times. Stuart School’s Master of Science in Finance degree program is ranked 3rd in the United States and 35th globally.
The Financial Times Global Masters in Finance rankings are based on a survey of alumni who graduated three years previously, with criteria that emphasizes the salary and career status of these alumni. In 2015, the Stuart program was ranked 33rd in the world and 6th in the U.S.
“The M.S. Finance program at the Stuart School of Business is known for its academic rigor and industry relevance, and I am thrilled for its continued recognition in this ranking,” said John Bilson, M.S. Finance Program Director and John and Mae Calamos Stuart School of Business Dean Endowed Chair.

The M.S. Finance program was designed to train professionals for careers in the financial markets. Core courses cover basic principles of valuation, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. Students can customize their degrees by selecting from Stuart’s 12 industry-driven concentrations, including financial engineering, high frequency finance, entrepreneurial finance, and risk management.
