Cliff Stein, Chicago Bears’ vice president of football administration and general counsel, will discuss his career and how to leverage a law degree into a job in the sports industry at 7:15 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. The program, which is sponsored by IIT Chicago-Kent’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society, will be held in room 580 of the law school.
Stein is the Chicago Bears’ lead negotiator for all player contracts. He assists the general manager in the management and strategic planning of the club’s salary cap, in the handling of all legal issues in the football operations department, and in overseeing the team’s security and safety services. Stein serves as the liaison between the National Football League (NFL) Management Council and the team on all CBA/salary cap compliance issues and other legal matters.
Stein graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in 1991 with a degree in business law and finance. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in 1994.
