Each year AIGA Chicago recognizes the effort and achievement of a handful of individuals and organizations that have shown dedication and leadership by promoting excellence in design as a meaningful business policy. Recipients demonstrate outstanding and consistent commitment to the highest standards of design as a means to advancing their corporate message and brand experiences.

This year, a group of design leaders, along with the AIGA Chicago board of directors have selected IIT Institute of Design to receive the 2014 Corporate Design Leadership award, an honor that it shares with Pitchfork Media. ID’s recognition comes from its dedication to empowering generations of design leaders as the largest full-time, graduate-only design program in the United States.

ID alumnus, Steve Ryan, was also recognized as an Above and Beyond Award Recipient for his service of AIGA chapter president and leadership of community engagement on behalf of AIGA.
