Microsoft is preparing to release the newest version of its operating system, Windows 10, on Wednesday, July 29. Based on past experience, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) has found the first version of any new operating system to be less stable than later versions. OTS strongly advises against downloading Windows 10 at this time. By delaying the download, Microsoft will have time to work out any bugs, and OTS support staff can continue their review of the new system, becoming even more familiar with it to better assist the Illinois Tech community.

OTS will provide more updates on Windows 10 to the IIT community as soon as they become available.
