IIT Stuart’s Michael Gorham, Industry Professor and director of the IIT Stuart Center for Financial Markets, recently presented at the John Lothian Summer Intern Education Series “MarketsWiki World of Opportunity.”

Held in locations throughout Chicago’s Financial District and geared toward interns, summer workers and others interested in careers in trading and markets, the series has drawn sold-out crowds and features traders, entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

Gorham discussed the serendipity of his own career, which has included key positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Commodity Futures Tradition Commission’s Division of Market Oversight. Through his experiences, he shared how unexpected opportunities can lead to some of the most exciting and enjoyable career and life experiences.

The July 23 session was held at CME and also showcased speakers from Options City, PRIME Analytics, Spot Trading and Morgan Stanley. Read more.
