The women of Illinois Tech have been busy often and early this young season. Their latest accolade was recognition by the NAIA and its regional raters. In the latest poll released by the NAIA, IIT garnered enough votes to secure the 23rd spot in the country. This marks the highest ranking in Illinois Tech’s women’s cross country history. To date the 2012 women’s team has set two school records and the individual athletes have run 12 personal best times through two races. The Scarlet Hawks gained an additional 115 votes in this poll to improve upon their pre-season ranking of 40th.
