The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be on campus today, February 5, for a recruiting event. ISAC is currently recruiting for the 2019-2020 ISACorps, with a start date of June 2019. The agency has several job openings in its ISACorps for recent college graduates interested in working with middle and high school students and their parents as they navigate the college-going process, especially for students who will be the first in their family to go to college and/or are from low-income households.
The ISACorps program provides a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to gain work experience in a variety of education settings and help make a difference in the lives of students. The focus of the ISACorps is to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. For your reference, a copy of the ISACorps job description can be found here online.
Interested students can stop by the table located outside the Office of Financial Aid (Perlstein Hall, Room 206) between 12:30-2:30 p.m. to learn more. Students unable to attend can pick up information from ISAC in the Office of Financial Aid throughout February.
