The pre-medical advisory committee has two Kaplan Test Prep Scholarships available to award for Illinois Tech students interested in taking a course to prepare for the MCAT, DAT, OAT, PCAT, or GRE (vet). One of these scholarships is for the full cost of the course and the second covers 50% of the cost of the course. Students must not be currently enrolled in a Kaplan test prep course, and this scholarship is not good for one-to-one tutoring packages, summer intensive programs, or PLUS course options.
To apply for this scholarship, you must submit a one-two page essay on what you have been doing to prepare yourself for your chosen health-profession school and why you feel the Kaplan test prep will better prepare you for the exam. Please address your current efforts to prepare yourself (shadowing and other relevant experiences), a current unofficial Illinois Tech transcript, and future plans. Deadline for submission is Thursday, June 1, 2017 at noon. If awarded, the scholarship must be redeemed by Sunday, December 31, 2017 i.e. you must register for your course before the end of the year but may take a course next year.
