TEMPE, Ariz.—The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its latest NCAA Division III rankings on Thursday, and Illinois Tech men’s tennis has earned a team ranking. Tech ranks 19th in the central region.
All season long, the Scarlet Hawks have proven to be one of the region’s top squads, posting a 15-9 overall record while remaining unbeaten in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play at 8-0. Already having clinched a share of the NACC’s regular season championship and the top seed in the NACC Tournament, the Scarlet Hawks have flat-out dominated conference foes, winning six of the eight matches by 9-0 scores.
The Scarlet Hawks have one more conference match (Saturday at 9:00 a.m. vs. Aurora at XS Tennis) before NACC Tournament play begins. Tech has a bye from the first round and will play its semifinal match on Sunday, May 5 at 9:00 p.m. at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the campus of University of Wisconsin.
