The Center for Learning Innovation (CLI), which is under the Office of the Provost, will launch the midterm course evaluation survey on Monday, September 28. Students will have two weeks to complete the survey.
This semester a new questionnaire, consisting of 15 questions, will be pretested. These questions are based on focus group interviews with Illinois Tech undergraduate students conducted last Spring, and feedback from both graduate and undergraduate students on a set of draft questions. Course instructors are encouraged to talk to their students about the midterm course evaluation survey, as the focus groups conducted last Spring also revealed that students are more inclined to complete the survey when they think their instructor values their feedback. More information about the survey, including a list of the questions, can be found on the CLI website.
