Alyssa Miner of the Illinois Tech Women’s Volleyball team has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s Player of the Week for action between October 23 and October 29. The honor is Miner’s first weekly award of the season.
The junior middle hitter had an incredible week. After a .500% hit percentage, nine-kill match in a sweep over Moody Bible on October 24, the Bartlett, Illinois, native had an astounding 17-kill match with three solo blocks, four aces, and a .531 hit percentage in a 3-1 win over Earlham. She also tallied 11 kills with four assisted blocks in an October 28 match (3-0 loss to Bluffton).
