The National Institute of Standards and Technology has announced their Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program for students majoring in science, engineering, and mathematics. This program operates at NIST’s Gaithersburg, Md. campus. If you are interested in applying to SURF at Gaithersburg, please contact the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs at IIT. The IIT deadline, including faculty sponsor’s OSRP routing sheet is at noon on February 2, 2015. There is no institutional limit on the number of student applicants. The IIT Office of Sponsored Research and Programs will prepare a single proposal to the SURF program. This proposal will include a portion completed by an institutional representative and a set of materials provided by each student applicant. An administrative announcement of this Federal Funding Opportunity (FFO) has been posted on both Grants.gov and the program website. Only U.S. citizens or permanents resident are eligible to participate in the SURF Program.
