Commonwealth Edison will be installing underground electrical infrastructure along Federal Street between 32nd and 35th Streets from now until the end of December. Intermittent parking restrictions and lane closures will occur during this period. Construction vehicles and equipment will be present and associated noise will occur, however, crews will be performing work in a combination of daytime and overnight hours in order to minimize impact.

Parking lots B5, B5V, B6, C1, C2, C5 and C5V will be affected at various points during the project. When these areas are available but restricted, please use caution and follow construction signage. During closures, alternate parking is available in campus-wide Visitor and Flex lots. Specific parking lot impact updates will be provided as they occur via the ACaPS Announcements page to assist in planning your arrival to campus. Additional pertinent updates will be communicated to the community through IIT Today, the Facilities website’s News & Updates section, and/or the Facilities Facebook page.
