Recruiting Students NOW for Certificate Program in Sensor Technology and Experiential Learning

Sensor technology is rapidly advancing and plays a crucial role in various industrial applications. Illinois Tech’s Certificate Program in Sensor Technology for Experiential Learning (CPSTEL) provides cross-disciplinary, experiential training in combined areas of advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, environmental control, semiconductor and microelectronics. The 9-credit program consists of education and mentored research in sensor technology in an academic setting, followed by correlated industrial internship training.

The CPSTEL is open to all students and is designed to complement a student’s chosen degree path, whether it’s chemistry, physics, biology, food science, computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or information technology. Both traditional (such as current Illinois Tech juniors and seniors) and non-traditional (particularly veterans with or without disability) are strongly encouraged to apply. Veterans are eligible for full tuition and internship stipend coverage under the NSF grant.

Participants of this program are required to complete three courses only, can start in either summer, fall or spring semester, and are expected to complete it in either 12- or 8-month period.
