IIT students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to continue to step up their recycling habits, especially during this year’s Recyclemania competition! Last year, IIT came in second place in the state and we’re aiming to take the prize this year! You can help by remembering to recycle materials you use daily. For help on what can be recycled, use the images found on the red bins. For specific questions, feel free to email the Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability at campussustainability@iit.edu.
Over the past week, we’ve exceeded our baseline recycling ratio to trash, but we have a ways to go in order to work up to our goal of 45%. It’s an easy choice to recycle, especially with so many red recycling bins around campus!
