Seeking Input on a University-Wide Project Management Platform

The Continuous Improvement (CI) unit invites you to attend a focus group that will inform the decision for a new project management platform that can be used across the university. Many projects can benefit from having a structure that enables collaboration and synchronized practices. The goal of the focus group is to gather information on what features an ideal project management system will have, like assigning tasks, reporting on progress, integrating deadlines with calendars, and much more. This endeavor is in collaboration with the OTS Project Management Office (PMO) and falls under the university’s Strategic Improvement Initiative.

While the OTS PMO manages projects requiring technology solutions, many other projects do not. (Examples include planning an event, restructuring office functions, or designing a student training program, to name a few.) If you regularly work on projects and/or use a project management platform such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Basecamp, Jira, TaskRay, or others, we would appreciate your feedback.

How can we improve the way we conduct projects at the university? Help us answer this question and RSVP below! (Space is limited, and we’ll confirm attendance in the order we receive responses.)
