The United States Collegiate Athletic Association named its winter non-sport Academic-All Americans on March 24. Student-athletes from Illinois Tech’s Men’s Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams were honored by the USCAA.
Illinois Tech Honorees
- Allan Huang (PSYC 3rd year) – Men’s Volleyball
- Louis German (CE 2nd year) – Men’s Swimming and Diving
- Christian Jones (MBB 3rd year) – Women’s Swimming and Diving
- Madeline Lane (ARCE 2nd year) – Women’s Swimming and Diving
- Ava Obenaus (ME 3rd year) – Women’s Swimming and Diving
- Brigitte Temple ((ME 3rd year) – Women’s Swimming and Diving
- Briana Tyler (ME 3rd year) – Women’s Swimming and Diving
The seven honorees participate in sports not sponsored by the USCAA. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors and carry a grade point average at least a 3.5 (on a four-point system) or better.
The USCAA will also announce Spring USCAA All-Academic (Baseball) and Spring USCAA Non-Sport All-Academic (Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Women’s Lacrosse) in May.
