Illinois Tech President Alan Cramb announced the winners of the Staff Excellence Awards recognizing members who exemplify the university’s commitment to excellence at the Spring 2016 University Faculty/Staff Update which took place on March 2. The awards honor those who provide distinguished service to the Illinois Tech community (staff, students or community as a whole) and exhibit exemplary leadership on strategic initiatives at the university level.

The winner of the individual award was:

• Benito Bozzetti, technical business analyst in the Controller’s Office

The winners of the team award were:

• Elizabeth Soto, assistant director for proposal development
• Glenn Krell, director of research compliance and proposal development
• Mariam Othman, coordinator for compliance and proposal development
