If your registered student organization has upcoming events or meetings, a new website, or any other announcements you would like to get out to the IIT community, be sure you don’t forget to use IIT Today and the University Calendar.  Both are easy and free ways to tell fellow students about your plans for the school year, promote your organization’s social media accounts, and recruit new members.

IIT Today
You can easily post an announcement in IIT Today using the online submission form linked at the top of the page (and here).  You can schedule announcements in advance and upload images or other files (that you own–no copyrighted images!).  You should always include contact info on any announcement in the form of a website link or email address, and if you are announcing an upcoming event, be sure to include the date, time, location, and put it on the University Calendar!

University Calendar
The IIT University Calendar is on Google, so posting your events is extremely simple.  Just create an event in Google Calendar using your IIT account or your organization’s Google account, and invite calendar@iit.edu as a guest.  That’s all there is to it.  Be sure to include the details of your event and contact info in the event description.
