After a long and exciting process, TechNews is proud to announce that Kori Bowns is the new Editor-in-Chief.

Bowns is a third year Physics Education major. In addition to the various positions she has held at TechNews, Bowns has served as a summer Orientation Leader and Peer Mentor for incoming students at Illinois Tech. She currently is the Social Media Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admission, a Lead Guest Programs Intern as part of the Museum of Science and Industry–IIT Guest Programs Summer Internship program, the president of Illinois Tech Robotics, and is actively involved with the local Bridgeport community.

TechNews announced open applications for Editor-in-Chief in early November 2013. In collaboration with advisors Greg Pulliam and Vickie Tolbert, and Office of Campus Life Director, Ryan Miller, members of the TechNews executive staff hosted the interview process later that month. The TechNews staff thanks all students who participated in the interview process.

The new TechNews staff will be at the Office of Campus Life Spring 2014 Involvement Fair from 11 am-2 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2014.
