The Association of Division III Independents has named Illinois Tech’s Brigitte Temple the Women’s Swimmer of the Month for November. Temple helped led the team to two team wins and strong finishes in two other meets this past month.
In the team win over Loras on November 4, Temple swam as a part of the 400 Yard Medley Relay team that earned first-place by over seven seconds. She doubled her margin of victory in the 400 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 4:56.41, winning by 15 seconds. Temple also won the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:33.40, followed by two of her teammates to round out the top-three.
Temple also won the 200 Yard Breaststroke against Illinois Wesleyan and Carthage on November 11 with a time of 2:33.28. Her 200 Yard Medley Relay team took third place with a 1:58.43 time. Temple also placed in the top four in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.
At the Phoenix Fall Classic November 17-19, Temple and her relay teams clocked in at 4:10.24 for a 14th place finish on the 400 Yard Medley Relay and a 12th place finish (1:53.22) in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. She also placed fifth in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:07.92. For the 400 Yard Individual Medley, Temple placed seventh and she swam well in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, placing fifth with a time of 2:28.17.
