John Huebler, CFRE, and Tammy Serrano, associate director of prospect research and management, were featured speakers at advancement conferences in Chicago the week of October 19.
At this year’s Midwest Conference on Philanthropy hosted by the Association for Fundraising Professionals, Huebler, a senior major gift officer at Illinois Tech, participated in the session, “Advancing a Culture of Philanthropy.” At the Association for Professional Researchers for Advancement Illinois Chapter fall conference, Serrano served on a panel about prospect management best practices.
Huebler has 30 years experience in advancement with Illinois Tech, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Grand Valley State University, and Michigan State University. He is secretary of the AFP Chicago Chapter and has been nominated as president-elect for 2016. He has been a member of AFP since 1999 and serves at the national level on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Serrano has over 15 years of fundraising experience including direct mail, phon-a-thons, database conversions, stewardship, individual giving, event planning, major gift prospect qualification, analytics, portfolio building, moves management and prospect research.
