The Association of Division III Independents recently named sophomore outfielder Peter Upham Player of the Week for action during the Illinois Tech Baseball team’s Florida trip.
The Massachusetts native hit .556 (5-for-9) with a home run, five RBI, two runs scored, a .636 OBP, and a 1.000 slugging percentage in three contests March 10–11. He smashed a three-run homer in the Scarlet Hawks’ opening win against Beloit, accounting for three of the team’s four RBI in the game. In game one against MCLA, the outfielder hit a go-ahead RBI double in the top of the eighth after driving in a run on a single earlier in the game. Upham also went one-for-two in game two against MCLA with a run scored.
