Mason Throneburg, water resources engineer in the Chicago CH2M HILL office, will provide an introduction to Chicago’s combined sewer hydraulic model, the model’s application to date, and a discussion of how these tools can be used to assess the potential benefits and cost-effectiveness of gray and green infrastructure throughout Chicago from 3:40-4:30 pm on Wednesday, September 25 in Engineering 1. Throneburg specializes in collection system modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of waterways, and watershed planning.
The Urban Water Systems lecture series, co-hosted by College of Architecture Professor Mary Pat Mattson and CAEE Associate Professor Dr. Paul Anderson, offers a series of seminar-style discussions focused on green stormwater infrastructure in Chicago.
