The IIT Boeing Scholars Academy is planning a job shadow day from 10 am-2 pm on February 12, 2014 (Lincoln’s Birthday) and wants volunteers who are interested in hosting students on this day. Professionals who are involved in STEM-related professions are welcome, as well as other individuals who work in industries including business, finance, public relations, social service, and education.
Hosting students includes many benefits, including the opportunity to share interests and experience with a group of high achieving and passionate high school students and helping them understand different educational and career opportunities available to them. In addition, lunch will be provided and volunteers will be mentioned on the IIT Boeing Scholars Academy blog.
