IIT’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (ChBE), Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER), Chicago Council on Science and Technology, and the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering (MMAE) will co-host a lecture from 3:15-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Perlstein Hall Auditorium, Room 131.
Presented by Philip Dowd, the lecture is titled “Should America Launch a Major Push into Solar Energy?” and will provide an analysis of what it would take to power the entire U.S. economy with solar energy. Dowd is retired founder and senior executive of SunGard Data Systems―a large specialized provider of software and processing solutions for financial services, higher education, and the public sector.
