As part of National Women’s History Month in March, Gender and Sexuality Services in the Office of Campus Life is hosting an empowering story-sharing event titled “Tales of DiversIITy.”
Join us on Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the IIT Tower Auditorium to hear seven powerful stories of strength in the face of oppression, loss, and discrimination. Each unique tale comes from someone within the Illinois Institute of Technology community – a classmate, coworker, or neighbor – whom we may or may not know. Regardless, these tales come from the heart and are waiting to be heard.
A short discussion facilitated by the presenters will follow the presentation, with the ultimate goal being an increased sense of solidarity within the IIT, Shimer, and VanderCook community.
This event reflects the values expressed in IIT’s Diversity Statement and is intended to promote diversity at IIT.
