The Illinois Tech Women’s Track and Field team competed at the Concordia University Chicago Cougar Invitational on April 22. The Scarlet Hawks placed 15th at the meet.

Meet Highlights

• In the 100m dash, both Monica Bhagavan (19th place, 13.66s) and Mminika Effiong (21st place, 13.70s) stood out.
• Effiong was also strong in the long jump, placing 10th with a 4.58m mark.
• Julia Briden placed fifth in the 1000m, recording a time of 3:35.19.
• In the triple jump, Emmalee Ciriacks finished fifth at 9.90m.
