The Illinois Tech Women’s Volleyball team headed north to Beloit College for four matches in the “Buc Blast” Tournament.

On September 2, the Scarlet Hawks opened the season strong. Illinois Tech defeated both North Central University (Minnesota) and Blackburn College in straight sets, extending their win streak at the Buc Blast Tournament to six matches (Illinois Tech won last year’s tournament with a 4-0 record). On September 3, host Beloit was able to defeat the Scarlet Hawks in five sets before the Scarlet Hawks defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College in four sets to wrap up the tournament’s action.

Senior Irena Grauzinis and junior Reya Green were named to the All-Tournament team. Up next for Illinois Tech is a Friday, September 9 match at the University of Chicago. Live links will be made available if provided by UChicago.
