Paul and Suzi Schutt Endowed Chair in Science and a fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) John Zasadzinski will chair a session at a meeting of the American Physical Society (APS) in Baltimore, Md. on March 18. The session title is “Superconductivity: Tunneling Phenomena.” One of Zasazinski’s Ph.D. students, Chaoyue Cao, will present the latest work of their research group at the session. Zasadzinski’s group uses tunneling spectroscopy to understand the surface properties of superconducting RF cavities used in linear colliders such as those at Fermilab.
