2014 PayScale Rankings

The most recent PayScale rankings are in and it’s good news for IIT. PayScale, which is one of the newer ranking systems, attempts to measure the value of a college education in order to help prospective students and their parents find the best returns on investment by school type, location and major.

The following is a snapshot of the most recent rankings based on a 20-year Net ROI which is the net earnings in 20 years of a college graduate who holds only a bachelor’s degree:

Illinois Institute of Technology Rankings (20-Year Net ROI):

  • #1 among all universities in the State of Illinois
  • #3 for engineering majors at a private U.S. university known traditionally as an “engineering school”
  • #4 for engineering majors at a public or private U.S. university known traditionally as an “engineering school”
  • #9 at a private U.S. university known traditionally as an “engineering school”
  • #15 among all private U.S. colleges and universities
  • #17 among all public and private U.S. universities known traditionally as “engineering schools”
  • #24 among all public and private U.S universities
