The Industrial Technology and Management (INTM) Program is pleased to announce two recipients of the Irving M. Footlik Endowed Scholarship for 2017–18: Krzysztof Drozd and Vasyl Vynnychuk.

Drozd transferred to Illinois Tech from Oakton Community College, where he earned three AAS degrees in Facilities Energy Systems, Facilities Management, and A/C, Heating & Refrigeration. Vynnychuk also transferred from Oakton, where he earned an AAS in CNC Operations & Programming and four certificates in Manufacturing.

Robert B. Footlik, P.E. (IE ’68) presented the award on behalf of the Irving M. and Sylvia Footlik Foundation at a recent dinner. This award marks the ninth year of Footlik Scholarships for INTM students.

This endowed scholarship was established in memory of Irving M. Footlik (ME ’39), a dedicated and involved Illinois Tech alumnus who, together with his late wife Sylvia, gave time, attention, and financial support to multiple campus initiatives and student projects. The scholarship is in place to benefit students who obtain practical training at a community college and transfer to Illinois Tech to pursue the Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM).
