FALL 2022 VENTRA UPASS PROGRAM DATES

Fall 2022 Ventra UPasses will be valid Friday, August 19–Sunday, December 11, 2022.

FALL 2022 VENTRA UPASS OPT-IN UPDATE

CTA has extended optional enrollment for the UPass Program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Eligible full-time students may OPT-IN to the UPass program for the Fall 2022 semester.

Students who choose to OPT-IN for the UPass must be registered FULL-TIME (Grad students: 9 billable academic hours, Undergrad students: 12 billable academic hours) for Fall 2022.

All eligible full-time students who choose to participate in the program should complete the Fall 2022 Ventra UPass Opt-In Form. Completing the opt-in form ensures your UPass will be ordered/activated and your account billed the $155 UPass semester fee. You must complete this OPT-IN form by September 3, 2022 to receive the UPass for the semester.

FINAL OPT-IN and CHANGE REQUEST DEADLINE

OPT-INs WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 3. Students that have opted-in, but decide to no longer receive the UPass will be extended a (1) time Change Request per semester. Students who would like to change their opt-in request must email acaps@iit.edu prior to the add/drop deadline of September 3.

PRIORITY ONLINE PHOTO SUBMISSION DEADLINE

For new students, your HawkCard ID photo is needed to order your official UPass. The priority submission deadline to upload your photo through MyHawkCard is July 22. Uploading your photo by this deadline ensures your UPass will be ready for pickup by the UPass semester effective date.

Students New to Illinois Tech Fall 2022

• Students who are registered for full-time academic hours (Grad students: 9 billable academic hours, Undergrad students: 12 billable academic hours) and have completed the OPT-IN form by September 3 will receive a Ventra UPass Card.
• New students must have a submitted HawkCard photo uploaded online through MyHawkCard (via MyIIT) in order to obtain your Ventra UPass.
• Please note- UPass pickup may be delayed 1–2 weeks for any HawkCard photo submitted after July 22.
• Dropping below full-time registration status will result in the deactivation of your Ventra UPass.
• UPass Distribution: Students will receive an email from acaps@iit.edu when their Ventra UPass is ready for pickup.

Mies Campus Returning Students

• Be sure to complete the OPT-IN form to ensure your Ventra UPass is activated by Friday, August 19.
• If you are registered full time, have completed the OPT-IN form by the final September 3 deadline, do not have a negative balance on your Ventra account, and your UPass is not activated, please email acaps@iit.edu. Eligible UPass activation requests will be updated within one business day.
• UPass accounts with a negative balance will not activate until funds are added to satisfy the outstanding balance. Please check your account balance through the Ventra app or on the Ventra website prior to August 19.
• Dropping below full-time registration status will result in the deactivation of your Ventra UPass.

Conviser Law Center Student UPass Requests
