The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will continue its Seminar Series on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 12:45-1:45 p.m. in Siegel Hall, Room 118, featuring guest speaker Hiva Nasiri, Ph.D.

In her talk titled “Distribution Automation,” Dr. Nasiri will discuss how power outages are detected and restored both traditionally and with distribution automation systems in place. We will also discuss how distribution automation systems isolate faults and reduce the time needed to detect and restore power.
