ECE Seminar Series Continues with “Beyond 5G”
February 7, 2023On Friday, February 24, ECE will host Jie Gao, assistant professor in the School of Information Technology at Carleton University in Canada, to speak on his research, “Beyond 5G: Leveraging AI and Digital Twins for Automated Network Management.” Gao’s research interests include machine learning for communications and networking, the Internet of things and industrial IoT solutions, multi-access edge computing, and beyond 5B (B5G)/6G in general. -
ECE Seminar Series to Continue with Machine Learning and MATLAB Talk on Thursday
February 7, 2023On Thursday, February 9, ECE will host Gen Sasaki, principal customer success engineer at MathWorks, to speak on his research, “The Fundamentals of Machine Learning Using MATLAB.” The talk will explore the fundamentals of machine learning using MATLAB and will introduce techniques available in MATLAB to quickly explore data, evaluate machine learning algorithsms, compare the results, and apply the best technique to your problem. -

Dr. Suktana will talk about programmable network switches and NICs are enabling the execution of increasingly rich computations inside the network using languages like P4.
