You are invited to participate in a new research study conducted through the Center for Disability Resources under the supervision of Dr. Lindsay Sheehan. This study aims to explore students’ perceptions and decision-making related to seeking accommodations in higher education. Your perspectives are valuable, regardless of whether you have previously registered for accommodations or received disability services. You are welcome to participate whether or not you participated in an earlier survey for this study.
Students with disabilities have often been underrepresented in research. Your perspectives may help disability services professionals in higher education, including here at Illinois Tech, better understand and support students’ needs.
Participation is completely voluntary. Choosing whether or not to participate will have no impact on your access to services, accommodations, or your standing with Illinois Tech. The survey is anonymous, and no personally identifying information will be collected.
You can take the survey using this link or via the QR code on the flyer. Please feel free to share it with friends, classmates, or peers at Illinois Tech or any other college or university who may be interested.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jliu185@illinoistech.edu or Principle Investigator Dr. Lindsay Sheehan at lsheehan@illinoistech.edu.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
