ECE Seminar Series to Continue with Machine Learning and MATLAB Talk on Thursday

Please join the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for our third research seminar for the spring semester.

On Thursday, February 9, ECE will host Gen Sasaki, principal customer success engineer at MathWorks, to speak on his research, “The Fundamentals of Machine Learning Using MATLAB.” The talk will explore the fundamentals of machine learning using MATLAB and will introduce techniques available in MATLAB to quickly explore data, evaluate machine learning algorithsms, compare the results, and apply the best technique to your problem. Sasaki has worked in automotive and aerospace applications for nearly 30 years, with a focus on powertrain, various embedded controls, and functional safety.

The seminar is open to everyone at Illinois Tech and will take place in Room 113 of Wishnick Hall from 12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m. For more information regarding this seminar, please contact the ECE department at 312-567-3400 or ece@iit.edu.
