Illinois Tech’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Arena, located at 525 South Racine Avenue in Chicago. There will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies, and at each of these ceremonies, degrees will be conferred for three of the university’s colleges.

Chicago-Kent’s Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at UIC Forum, located at 725 West Roosevelt in Chicago. Staff volunteers are also needed to assist during this ceremony.

The Commencement volunteer form has more information regarding times and assignments. Note that you must complete both forms by Friday, May 2, to volunteer at Commencement.

This is an important weekend for our entire community, and we encourage you to participate and support our graduates as they start the next chapter of their journey. It is important to our students and their families that we show our pride in our students and their accomplishments.

Per the university’s Volunteer Time VTO policy, all volunteers who submit both forms and complete their assigned shift(s) will be provided with a day off to be used by December 31, 2025.
