Faculty members are invited to serve as faculty marshals during their respective college Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 16. Faculty marshals will help welcome graduates, guide them to their seats, and direct them to the stage for degree conferral. Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 31.

To all students who are eligible to graduate in fall 2025, spring 2026, or summer 2026 (undergraduate, graduate, Coursera, and Ph.D.): we invite you to complete the Commencement Ceremony Response Form for our 157th Illinois Tech Commencement ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 16, at Credit Union 1 Arena. This form must be completed by March 12.

Submit Your Nomination for an Honorary Degree Recipient

November 25, 2025
The Office of the Provost is now accepting nominations for the recipients of honorary degrees that will be presented at Commencement in May 2026. A recipient of an honorary degree will also speak at each Commencement ceremony. Nominations must be submitted through our online form, and they must be submitted by the end of day on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Volunteers Needed for Commencement

March 25, 2025
Illinois Tech’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Aren. There will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies, and at each of these ceremonies, degrees will be conferred for three of the university’s colleges. Chicago-Kent’s Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at UIC Forum. Please volunteer if you area available to help create a momentous day for our 2024–2025 graduates.
