Submit Your Nomination for an Honorary Degree Recipient
October 15, 2026The Office of the Provost is now accepting nominations for the recipients of honorary degrees that will be presented at Commencement in May 2027. Nominations must be submitted through our online form, and they must be submitted by the end of day on Friday, December 18, 2026. -
Staff Volunteers Needed for Commencement
March 17, 2026Dedicated staff volunteers are needed for Illinois Tech's 157th Commencement, to be held on Saturday, May 16, at Credit 1 Union Arena. If you are available, your support will make a real difference. Please complete the volunteer form by May 1. -
Faculty Marshals Needed for Commencement 2026
March 12, 2026Faculty members are invited to serve as faculty marshals during their respective college Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 16. Faculty marshals will help welcome graduates, guide them to their seats, and direct them to the stage for degree conferral. Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 31. -

March 3, 2026To all students who are eligible to graduate in fall 2025, spring 2026, or summer 2026 (undergraduate, graduate, Coursera, and Ph.D.): we invite you to complete the Commencement Ceremony Response Form for our 157th Illinois Tech Commencement ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 16, at Credit Union 1 Arena. This form must be completed by March 12. -

Volunteers Needed for Commencement
March 25, 2025Illinois Tech’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Aren. There will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies, and at each of these ceremonies, degrees will be conferred for three of the university’s colleges. Chicago-Kent’s Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at UIC Forum. Please volunteer if you area available to help create a momentous day for our 2024–2025 graduates. -
Faculty RSVP for Commencement—Deadline: March 28, 2025
March 13, 2025Illinois Institute of Technology’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Arena, located at 525 South Racine Avenue in Chicago. Please RSVP to reserve your regalia no later than Friday, March 28, 2025. Your response is requested even if you own your own regalia or do not plan to attend.
