The Office of the Provost is now accepting nominations for the recipients of honorary degrees that will be presented at Commencement in May 2026. The recipients of the honorary degrees will also speak at the Commencement ceremony.

Nominations must be submitted through our online form, and they must be submitted by the end of day on Friday, December 19, 2025. The Honorary Degree Committee will review all nominations received and will report its recommendations to the provost and president.

All nominations must meet the university’s criteria for honorary degree recipients. You can read about all of the nominee criteria and recent past honorary degree recipients on the Office of the Provost website.
