The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will continue its Seminar Series on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. via Zoom, featuring guest speaker Ziqing Hu, Ph.D., technical staff on the post-training team at Perplexity. The talk will be titled “Training at Scale: Data, Algorithm, and Infrastructure for LLMs.”
Dr. Hu will talk about how large language models derive much of their practical capability not from pretraining alone, but from post-training pipelines that align models with real-world tasks, user preferences, and deployment constraints.
This seminar is open to everyone at Illinois Tech. For more information regarding this seminar, please contact the ECE department at 312.567.3400 or ece@illinoistech.edu.
