An academic highlight on IIT Main Campus each summer is IPRO Day. This year, it will take place on Friday, July 26 from 10:00 am–1:00 pm in Hermann Hall.
IIT faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event and show their support to the summer IPRO teams. The event is the culmination of IPRO teamwork via exhibits and presentations. This semester, 12 IPRO teams are participating.
The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes undergraduate students from IIT’s colleges as multidisciplinary teams to work on complex, open-ended projects to tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from diverse fields, IPRO teams focus on a variety of topics from infrastructure planning, product and process innovation, renewable energy and sustainability, service learning and community development.
Summer 2013 IPRO corporate sponsors and community partners include iButtonLink, Doran Scales, Bronzeville Urban Development, Chicago’s 25th Ward and 3rd Ward, Bronzeville Alliance and Kramer Tree Service. Professionals from the Chicago area are invited to serve as judges and welcome to attend as guests. Please click here to register as a judge or guest.
