IIT Institute for Food Safety and Health’s Biosafety Officer, Margaret Juergensmeyer, was recognized by Chief Sean Maloy on behalf of the Bedford Park Fire Department on December 1, 2014, in appreciation for her continued support of First Responder training. Juergensmeyer has been working with the Bedford Park Fire Department for approximately four years registering First Responder training on bio-hazards, rescue drills in a BSL-3 facility, and lectures on safety in bio-hazardous environments.
