Living Room Realty’s new exhibit, “Objects in Space,” features work by IIT College of Architecture Studio Associate Professor Paul Pettgrew. The show, which runs through August 3, displays living spaces in a storefront gallery, and highlights locally sourced and produced furniture, textiles, and accessories. Pettigrew’s iCharnley, an iPod stereo system, will be included in the exhibit. The stereo was built into and around a single piece of quarter-sawn white oak fumigated in ammonium to match the patina of Charnley House interior woodwork. The white oak came from Chicago’s urban forest via Horigan Urban Forest Products.
Viewing the exhibit is by appointment only. Living Room Realty is located at 1530 W. Superior in Chicago.
