The Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference has announced the Player of the Week award winners for the week of April 11-17. Illinois Tech’s Cassandra Reineke was honored as the league’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Illinois Tech’s lone match of the week came on the road against Augsburg, pitting two teams with 4-1 MWLC records against each other. In Illinois Tech’s important 11-7 victory, Reineke led the team with four caused turnovers. She also tallied three ground balls in the victory.
