College of Architecture Professor Robert Krawczyk’s 3D printed series “Being Dis-Functional” has been selected for the Rapid3D 2017 3D Art Gallery, at the 3D: Printing, Scanning, and Additive Manufacturing Conference. The conference will take place May 8-11, 2017 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh and is sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Introduced in 2010 and located on the show floor, the Design Studio highlights creative applications of 3D printing outside of the manufacturing industry. It will feature the 3D Art Gallery, which showcases the creative approach to art creation and production that’s made possible by additive manufacturing, 3D printing, 3D imaging and digital sculpture.
