Considerations for Intellectual Property Management at Illinois Tech

The Office of Technology Development has prepared a four-part lunchtime series and will be sharing considerations and best practices for producing inventions, protecting intellectual property (IP), and licensing the IP to companies. We will explore topics such as invention disclosure, the invention evaluation process, patenting prosecution, marketing inventions to companies, and royalty sharing with inventors. We will also discuss licensing to startups, the anatomy of a license agreement, and license negotiations. This series is particularly great for graduate students and entrepreneurial and inventive faculty. Please join us and meet the technology development team and learn about IP handling at Illinois Tech.
