The Office of Community Standards and Student Affairs is pleased to announce two professional development opportunities for faculty and staff that work closely with Illinois Tech students on March 17, 2020 and March 19, 2020 respectively. Below you will find the workshops that are being offered:
Responding to Students In Distress
Date: March 17, 2020
Location: Rettaliata Engineering Building Room 124
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Description: This workshop will provide information about how to respond to students who are in distress or exhibiting disrupting behaviors. The workshop will review strategies to help respond to a student in distress and will outline university and Student Affairs response protocols to streamline access for a student to professional services and provide an understanding of how to respond to a student in distress or crisis.
Brave On Campus
Date: March 19, 2020
Location: Rettaliata Engineering Building Room 124
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Description: This workshop will provide faculty and staff an understanding of the resources, support, and information to support the LGBTQ+ community.
