The Academic Day of Excellence is the first chance students have to meet faculty, staff, and other students in their academic units. All new students are expected to attend this event on Friday, August 17 at Main Campus. Family and friends are encouraged to come along.

Academic receptions begin at 9 am in the following locations:
Armour College of Engineering – Hermann Hall Ballroom
College of Architecture – Crown Hall
College of Psychology – MTCC Welcome Center
College of Science and Letters – MTCC Ballroom
School of Applied Technology – Perlstein Lounge
Stuart School of Business – Hermann Hall Armour Dining Room

Immediately following the academic unit receptions, all colleges will proceed to the convocation in the Hermann Hall Auditorium. IIT President John Anderson, Student Government Association President Kelly Lohr, and class of 1995 alumnus Jimmy Akintonde will join me in officially welcoming you to IIT.

After convocation, the Student Organization Festival will be happening outside of Hermann Hall. Join 80+ student organizations to find the right one for you to get involved with for the 2012-2013 academic year.
