Accounts Payable Requests Help With Independent Contractors Completing the New W-9 Form

The Internal Revenue Service recently changed the W-9 tax form that is used to obtain the business name, address, and taxpayer identification number of independent contractors and others who provide services to IIT.

The revised W-9 provides additional information that is helpful to determine whether a tax document is required to be filed with the IRS.

As a result, the Accounts Payable department is requesting that departments who have or will be doing business with independent contractors and others who provide services ask them to complete the new W-9 Form.

The completed form should be sent to Donna Taylor in the Accounts Payable Department. Effective January 1, 2014, the old form will no longer be accepted by Accounts Payable.
